Research by NCU Faculty Featured in Nature Research Highlight
Research conducted by a collaborative team including Professor Daisuke Kawauchi of the Department of Tumor and Neural Biology, Brain and Mind Research Center, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Nagoya City University has been featured in the Research Highlight section of the journal Nature.
The research team uncovered a mechanism by which inhibitory neural circuits suppress brain tumor progression. Their study demonstrated that inhibitory neural activity reduces calcium signaling in tumor cells, thereby restraining tumor growth and development.
