Guests from the PoliTO Japan Hub, visited Nagoya City University.
On June 18, 2026, Professor Giuseppe Quaglia, Director of the PoliTO Japan Hub, and Assistant Professor Giovanni Colucci visited the School of Design and Architecture of Nagoya City University (NCU).
During the visit, they met with Professor Asai, former President of NCU; Professor Tabata, Dean of the Graduate School of Design and Architecture; Professor Aoki, former Dean of the Graduate School; Professor Yanagisawa of the Graduate School of Design and Architecture; and Associate Professor Shiina, Vice Director of the International Exchange Center.
The program began with a meeting, during which Professor Yanagisawa, whose research focuses on Italian architecture, introduced his research activities. Afterwards, Professor Quaglia and Assistant Professor Colicci toured several laboratories and facilities on the Kita-Chikusa Campus, gaining an overview of NCU’s educational and research activities.
Politecnico di Torino (PoliTO) is one of the NCU’s strategic international partner institutions, and students from both universities participate in exchange programs every year. NCU looks forward to further strengthening its partnership with PoliTO and expanding opportunities for academic collaboration and student exchange in the years to come.
