Institute of Economic Research
The Institute of Economic Research was established in 1996 with the main purpose of contributing to the international and regional economy at large through research of the regional economy with a global view. Taking into consideration the integration of the world economy, especially that of Asian countries, its research topics focus on challenges facing the economy of the Chubu Region including economic structure, public finances, financial activities, social security, and the environment. It publicizes policy proposals based on its research outcomes in order to achieve a steady economic growth in the Tokai Area and satisfy the expectations of its citizens.
